Presentation of the Master’s research projects on the topic “Transformation of Boundaries”

As part of the Forum Sustainability event series for the summer term 2025, JMU master’s students will present their master's research projects on the topic of “Transformation of Boundaries”.

On 07.05.2025 at 14:00 c.t. in room 02.206 at Wittelsbacherplatz the presentation of the Master's research projects of students of the Master's programs Political and Social Science and Social Science Sustainability Research on “Transformation of Boundaries” will take place. The aim is to provide insights into the research projects by and for students.

The following projects will be presented:

  • Climate activist narrations: Narratives as a tool for socio-economic transformation” (Social Science Sustainability Research)
    by Marlene Andexinger, Jack Lahr, Felix Sudhopp, Antonia Vennemann
     
  • Ecologically sustainable mobility behavior in Würzburg and the relevance of individual environmental orientation” (Methods of Quantitative Empirical Social Research)
    by Katharina Heger, Lisa Eisert, Janis Diener, Luisa Till
     
  • Frozen fronts despite melting borders? - Geopolitical tensions in the Arctic” (International Relations & European Studies)
    by Hjördis Diestel, Dennis Kirsch, Marlene Kunz, Chiara Schmitt, Emma Thorwart

The events of the Forum Sustainability will be organized in interdisciplinary cooperation with the Chair of Social Science Sustainability Research, the Chair of Public Law and International Economic Law, the Department of Political Theory and the Chair of International Relations and European Studies.

Master students of the PSSc master as well as the SowiNa master are sincerely invited to participate in the event. We look forward to your participation and a lively exchange!
