Professorship of European Studies and International Relations

The Professorship of European Studies and International Relations focuses on the wide array of foreign, security, and developmental policy, as well as the numerous questions related to Europe. The focus is centered around the European Union and its member states as well as the US, Africa, and emering powers like China, India, and Brazil. Our cooperation with India is exceptionally strong.

Next to gaining knowledge and expertise, job relevant Soft Skills are also acquired. Through EU and UN simulations diplomatic skills can be practiced. The academic profile is rounded out through research projects, conferences and excursions.

Jean Monnet Chair

In 2017, the Professorship has been awarded the prestigious title "Jean Monnet Chair" by the European Union which comes with a three-year funding by the European Commission for related projects.
