Winter and Summer Semester

The academic year at the University of Würzburg is divided into two semesters (winter semester and summer semester):

• Summer semester 2024: 01.04.2024 – 30.09.2024
• Winter semester 2024/2025: 01.10.2024 – 31.03.2025
• Summer semester 2025: 01.04.2025 – 30.09.2025
• Winter semester 2025/2026 01.10.2025 – 31.03.2026
   

Lecture Period

In winter semester, lectures run from mid-October to mid-February. In summer semester, lectures run from mid-April to mid-July:

• Lecture period in summer semester 2024: 15.04.2024 – 19.07.2024
• Lecture period in winter semester 2024/2025: 14.10.2024 – 07.02.2025
• Lecture period in summer semester 2025: 22.04.2025 – 25.07.2025
• Lecture period in winter semester 2025/2026: 13.10.2025 – 06.02.2026
   

Exams

Exams at our institute are usually at the end of every lecture period.
