Curriculum Vitae

Ulrike Zeigermann is Assistant Professor for Social Science Sustainability Studies at the University of Würzburg. Her research focuses on the challenges and opportunities arising from new interactions between civil society, science, law, business, media, politics and the environment in societal transformations towards sustainability. In addition to research on the governance of sustainability, she also devotes her research and teaching to questions of expertise and knowledge transfer processes in socio-ecological transformations.

In May 2017, Ulrike Zeigermann received her PhD from the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster with a dissertation on development policy coherence, published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2020 under the title "Transnational Policy Entrepreneurs - Bureaucratic Influence and Knowledge Circulation in Global Cooperation". After a postdoctoral position at the Peace Academy of the University of Koblenz-Landau, she was a research associate at the Chair of Political Science with a focus on sustainable development at the University of Magdeburg from 2017 to 2022. During this time, Ulrike Zeigermann was also a visiting researcher at the University of Warsaw and Sciences Po Paris. Since 2014, Ulrike Zeigermann has also been an associate researcher at the Franco-German Centre Marc Bloch in Berlin. From 2015 to 2017, she led the research group "State Action and Knowledge Circulation". Since 2019, she has led the research group "Environment, Energy, Climate". Ulrike Zeigermann studied "Human Rights" at the London School of Economics and Political Science and Political Science in a Franco-German double degree programme at Sciences Po Lille and the University of Münster.

Since 05/2022: Assistant Professor of Social Science Sustainability Studies at the Institute of Political Science and Sociology at Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg.
