Goals and Members

The India Forum was formed at the Institute of Political Science and Sociology based on the numerous Indian themed activities, which were made possible by the program A New Passage to India.

Goals

The IPS India Forum is meant to be an umbrella for all Indian related activities at the Institute in order to bring Professors, Graduate and Teaching Assistants together who are engaged with India.

Furthermore, it is meant to be a point of contact for Students interested in India so that they can, for example, exchange ideas regarding India for their Bachelor or Master Thesis or prepare for a trip to India.

Through regular meetings between Institute staff and students connected to India, guest Lectures, workshops, and colloquiums, the Indian Forum hopes to consolidate India as a focus of the Institute.

Members

The following faculty members of the Institute for Political Science and Sociology are currently a part of the India Forum:

The cooperation is financially supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
with funds from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
