Soeben erschienen: Sonderheft "Demokratieförderung in Zeiten globaler Autokratisierung"

Gemeinsam mit Dr. Brigitte Weiffen, Open University, und Dr. Karina Mross, IDOS, veröffentlicht Prof. Dr. Sonja Grimm als Gastherausgeberin das Sonderheft 32 (7) in der Zeitschrft Democratization zum Thema „Demokratieförderung in Zeiten der Autokratisierung” (2025).

Das Sonderheft enthält eine konzeptionelle Einführung der Herausgeberinnen sowie acht Originalartikel. Das Heft befasst sich mit den Auswirkungen der globalen Autokratisierung auf die internationale Demokratieförderung. Es untersucht, wie Demokratieförderer auf die Autokratisierung in Zielländern der Demokratieförderung und auf der Aufstieg autokratischer Konkurrenten reagieren.

Das Sonderheft geht auf eine Kooperation im Rahmen des Netzwerks Externe Demokratieförderung (EDP) zurück. Die Autorentagung fand im November 2023 am IDOS in Bonn statt und wurde aus Mitteln der Fritz-Thyssen-Stiftung gefördert. Die Open Access Publikation der Einleitung zum Sonderheft wurde aus Mitteln der European Research Executive Agency (REA) gefördert.
