New Publications by Prof. Müller-Brandeck-Bocquet and Philipp Gieg

06/08/2021

Prof. Gisela Müller-Brandeck-Bocquet and Philipp Gieg from the Jean Monnet Chair at IPS have each published a chapter in the new edited volume "Weltwandel – Neuausrichtung der internationalen Beziehungen".

Gisela Müller-Brandeck-Bocquet writes about the EU as a foreign policy partner of the US, Philipp Gieg about Africa's new relations with China and India.

The edited volume "Weltwandel" takes a look at geopolitical developments that are making the liberal world order and the security policy environment more and more unstable; in addition, there are challenges posed by new technologies, climate change, migration and pandemics. Renowned experts take up this situation and provide their assessment with a view to a reorientation of international relations. The commemorative volume is published on the occasion of the farewell of Prof. Dr. Reinhard Meier-Walser, the long-time director of the Academy for Politics and Current Affairs of the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation (1995-2021).

In addition to contributions by Gisela Müller-Brandeck-Bocquet and Philipp Gieg, the book, edited by Markus Ferber, contains analyses by Christian Hacke, Margareta Mommsen, Josef Braml, Stephan Bierling, Klaus Naumann, Hanns W. Maull, Gerd Müller and Eckhard Jesse, among others.
