Category: talk
Location: Wittelsbacherplatz 1, Hörsaal II (Raum 02.401)
Speaker: Dr. Barnaby Dye

Dr. Barnaby Dye (King’s College London / DGAP Berlin) will speak on 15 June 2026 about the dynamics and trajectories of India-Africa relations in the 21st century. The lecture critically examines whether these relations can be understood as over-hyped, a historic success, or an ambivalent development. Dr. Philipp Gieg (IPS / ICCUW) will deliver the introductory remarks.

The lecture will take place on Monday, 15 June 2026, at 18:15 in Lecture Hall II, Wittelsbacherplatz 1. All interested participants are warmly invited to attend!

The lecture is part of the seminars “India in International Relations” and “Africa’s International Relations” taught by Dr. Philipp Gieg and is a joint event of the India Forum at the Institute of Political Science and Sociology and the India Competence Centre of the University of Würzburg (ICCUW).
