Winter and Summer Semester

The academic year at the University of Würzburg is divided into two semesters (winter semester and summer semester):

• Summer semester 2021: 01.04.2021 - 30.09.2021
• Winter semester 2021/2022: 01.10.2021 - 31.03.2022
• Summer semester 2022: 01.04.2022 - 30.09.2022
• Winter semester 2022/23: 01.10.2022 - 31.03.2023
   

Lecture Period

In winter semester, lectures run from mid-October to mid-February. In summer semester, lectures run from mid-April to mid-July:

• Lecture period in summer semester 2021: 12.04.2021 - 16.07.2021
• Lecture period in winter semester 2021/22: 18.10.2021 - 11.02.2022
• Lecture period in summer semester 2022: 25.04.2022 - 29.07.2022
• Lecture period in winter semester 2022/23: 17.10.2022 - 10.02.2023
   

Exams

Exams at our institute are usually at the end of every lecture period.
