Profile of this degree programme

Whether dealing with climate change, the distribution of wealth or the use of natural resources: There are many areas of conflict in our society. What exactly is emerging in these areas and why? How can we ensure that everyone is treated fairly and that we can live together well in the long term, including with the environment? The master's in Social Science Sustainability Research (SowiNa) is a consecutive degree programme and focuses on current social, political, economic and ecological developments.

Studying SowiNa – and then what?

SowiNa qualifies you for academically oriented professional fields within and beyond universities. Graduates can find suitable jobs in a wide range of fields, including political consulting, market and opinion research, the media, international institutions, business, political education institutions and publishing. Following your master's degree, you may complete a doctorate  within the framework of our interdisciplinary graduate schools and at the Faculty of Human Sciences.

Application & Admission
